in Okinawa on Kadena AFB in March as long as he makes it through fire
school on time. We were blown away! We did not expect to be staioned
overseas right away. We are so excited! We have heard mostly really
really good things about Okinawa, mostly about how beautiful it is.
After looking at pictures and reading about the base I am even more
excited! This is a huge change and a great adventure and many things
about it scare me, but I know that God has a good plan for us there!
I found a website today that shows some really beautiful scenes from
Okinawa--- www.time2pcs.com. It reminds me of pics I've seen of
Hawaii! It looks like paradise. What an opportunity of a LIFETIME.
More things to be thankful for... I get to visit Aaron in San Angelo
for thanksgiving! We will have four full days of freedom together! I
have to say that one of the things that makes this possible is the
fact that we can stay at the hotel on base for $35/night! We're both
looking forward to it, to say the least!
Aaron also found out that he gets 15 days of exodus for christmas, so
he will get to come here during that time.
In between those two breaks I will be making a trip to Seattle
(finally!!) to visit my family and hopefully visit Spokane while I'm
at it.
We appreciate prayers, especially for Aaron as he has a very rigorous
class schedule that is also very tough. He is doing excellently so
far, scoring 100 on most of his quizes... All of his experience
probably helps! But he still feels a lot of pressure to study hard and
do his best. Please also pray for our many preparations for moving to
Okinawa... In particular, selling our car! We will need it up until
close to when we leave, so we are a bit nervous about how the sale of
it will pan out.
God continues to stretch us, grow us, and love us! We are so blessed!
