Well, it's been a long time since I've written a good update, and a lot has happened. I will try to cover the big things as briefly as possible...
I want to start off by saying THANK YOU for praying for Aaron and his flight! They did have to be quarantined for a few days, but it didn't cause any delays for his training and he will graduate on time. He has stayed strong and healthy and most of the people in his flight have fully recovered from their illness. God is GOOD!
This past week my best friends Ali and Tiffany came down to visit me. We spent five days together and it was a lot of fun. It was wonderful to have them here... when they walked through the doors at the airport it was a really strange feeling... it was like immediately I felt at home. I felt like I could let out a big sigh and just relax and be myself. I was SO happy to have them here. We spent time relaxing, watching movies, shopping, and eating some really good food. It went by much too fast. I'm very fortunate to have such good friends who would spend their time and money to come all this way just to see me! :) I love them so much! And now I miss them again!
While they were here I had an interesting experienced that involved the ER I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic I was taking for my tonsillitis and it resulted in me breaking out in hives all over my arms, legs, and chest, and a weird sunburn-like rash on my face. Luckily I got some steroids and they cleared the problem up right away. The real bummer part of it all was that Aaron tried to call me while I was in the ER so I didn't answer and then he called his mom... Poor Barbara had to tell him that I was in the ER and do her best to reassure him that I was okay. He was starting his week of BEAST which is where they go out in the field to practice everything they've learned, and we didn't think he would be getting mail while he was out there, so we were thinking that he would be worried about me the whole time. Today Aaron got to call me again and informed me that he actually was getting my letters, so he found out on Tuesday that I was fine.
It was wonderful to talk to Aaron today. He sounded happy, which was so good for me to hear. He said, "I can't believe I'm a 7th weeker." Apparently when you first start out in BMT, the 7th weekers seem like gods. And now he's there and it feels good! :) Only a week and a half before I get to see him! I can hardly wait. It's all I can do to not think about it constantly! Aaron said the biggest thing he has left to do now is his finaly physical examination. He said that he doesn't feel as ready as he'd like to be since they spent those days in quarantine and weren't able to work out. Pray that he does well! He also told me that he has been having his blood tested pretty regularly because they think that he might be anemic. He hasn't gotten a final answer out of them, but he is starting to be suspicious that he won't be able to be a fire fighter if this he really is anemic. Pray for God's will and for our patience!! If Aaron has to do something other than firefighter, it would change everything... It would mean that he could go to a different tech school somewhere else in the country and the length of his tech school could be longer. I would have to figure out what I'd do while he was there. We would have a lot of decisions to make. So just pray that whatever happens we trust God and obey!
The weather has been sooooooo nice here. I have been so blessed. I really didn't think that we would get weather like this here... but it's been very Fall-y. Like crisp cool air, blue skies, sunshine, light breezes.... the leaves are starting to change color and I had to add a blanket to my bed. It's one of my favorite things to be under a heavy pile of covers, all warm and cozy and just your cheeks, nose and ears cold because of the coolness in the room. That's a great way to wake up in the morning! :)
We celebrated Matthew's 5th birthday today. His party was at a gymnastics place and it was a lot of fun to watch all of his little buddies running and bouncing around. Places like that bring out my inner child and it takes everything inside of me to not go doing cartwheels across the springed floor, jump in the big pit, and do flips on the trampolines.... I did do my share of jumping and butt-bounces on the trampoline, but that was the extent of my acrobatics. Needless to say it was so much fun!
I have my first real sub job on Monday. I'll be subbing for a pre-K teacher. So far I've only been subbing as an aid. Pray that everything goes smoothly and that the kids are obedient!
If you're reading this I welcome comments! I think I have it set now so that anyone can write something, even if you don't have a blogger account. If you don't want to comment on here, send me an e-mail.. I'd LOVE to hear from you!

Apparently I'm giving you anonymous advice. Oh well just blame it on the Biologist in me. =)
I wish you luck with Aaron's anemia scare. Luckily a majority of anemia cases are diet related and adding vitamin C, iron, B12, & folate rich foods can help.
Also decreasing foods high in the perservative EDTA, fiber, calcium, phylates (they're in some veggies), and lots of caffiene can also help. In large amounts these foods prevent iron from being absorbed into the blood. Hopefully his anemia can be easily fixed so your plans can go forward as you hope.
Luv ya hun, Jennifer G.
