Day 1: On the Road to Dad's House
Here we are on the road headed over the pass on our way to Mt. Vernon to visit my dad, sisters, brother, and nephews before we leave for Texas.
Aaron decided in North Bend that we better make our license plate visible.
We stopped at a good Northwest Teriyaki place for lunch.
This was our 'travel journal' (and a gift from Katlyn, thank you!) where I wrote about the things we did each day. It lasted about half way through the trip... :)
One of the cities outside Seattle.
This is a picture of Aaron's pocket knife and the bolts from the license plate. They rode on our bumper all the way from North Bend to Mt. Vernon... and they were kind enough to not fall off!
We made it to Dad's house!
Day 2: Stacie's House
My adorable nephews, Christian who's 9, and Marlin who's 1... and Marlin makes that goofy grin ALL the time. He's such a ham!
Aww I miss them.
We had an intense game of badmitten... And then it turned into badmitten with little plastic balls (like the ones in the ball pit at McDonalds.) And then Stacie brought in another improvization of the game... ping pong paddle.
What a stud.
Marlin & Kendra. I think Christian actually took this pictures... future photographer?
Mar Mar & Aunt Khursten. :)

Christian and Kim.
What better way to end the evening than with old school Mario Bros and Mario Kart? Just like old times!
Day 3: Breakfast & Larrabee State Park
We went to breakfast on Sunday morning with the whole family. It was the first time we'd been all together since Thanksgiving like 2 years ago. It was Dad and Kim's only day off while we were there, so we decided to spend the day at Larrabee State Park after filling up with a big breakfast at Shari's.
His food wasn't on his plate for long.
Me & Aaron.

Me & Kendra.
The brothers, Marlin & Christian.
Kim & Stacie.
There were two trails you could take. This one led you down to a pebble beach.
Christian was brave enough to swim in the freezing cold water. Even in August the Puget Sound is COLD!
Marlin loved throwing rocks into the water.
Christian was shivering as soon as he got out of the water... and John... who knows!
We love our nephew.
I don't even remember this.
This was where the other path took you, where you could climb rocks, try not to slip on the seaweed and break your ankle, and hunt for starfish!
I was trying to figure out which route I was going to take.. Climbing rocks in flip-flops, oh yeah!
These were lines of starfish that we saw.. John called them star-gies. :)
Kim got attacked by a starfish...
It's always fun haging out on a picnic table with your family... :)
Oh the fam...
Kendra and Dad, cute. :)
The End! I finally finished part 1 of the Road Trip Series. Hopefully I'll start on the next round of pictures soon.
