Wow... I have to say that I wasn't ready for how hard this would be. I knew that we wouldn't be able to e-mail each other and phone calls would be far and few between, but at least I had one thing to look forward to--letters. However, now that it's been over a week and still not a single letter, I'm discouraged. I'm sure that it's just because the military has some crazy rigourous screening process with every piece of mail that goes in and out of their office. But I have to say, this is a little torturous on the family's part. Is this really what the military is like? I know this is temporary and thank God for that. I just want to know how my husband is doing. Well, I guess I better get used to this life. Still, I know that God is Sovereign and for some reason He is allowing this to happen. Hopefully I will learn quickly whatever it is He's trying to teach me.
Lackland Air Force base provides information on basic training and I found a list of his weekly schedule. If you would like to know more specifically how to pray for Aaron, it might be a good thing to reference... at least until I get an update from him.
